Common questions

How many working days does 2025 have in Spain?

253261 Mon–Fri weekdays minus 8 national holidays that land on a weekday. Regional and local holidays sit outside the national set and would lower the number further where they apply.

How many working days is that per month, on average?

About 21.1 per month — but the spread matters more than the average: 65 working days in Q3 against 62 in Q1. A plan that assumes a flat month overcommits exactly where the calendar is thinnest.

Does this include vacation or booked time off?

No — this is the ceiling the calendar sets before anyone books leave. A team’s real capacity subtracts each person’s time off and part-time arrangement from these days; that is what the capacity calculator computes for a whole team, per member country.

Rule source: Estatuto de los Trabajadores art. 37.2, rules last verified 2026-08-03. Nationwide holidays only. Regional and municipal fiestas are excluded, as is Maundy Thursday (a holiday everywhere except Catalonia and Valencia), so every Spanish worker gets local days not listed here. A nationwide holiday falling on a Sunday transfers to the immediately following Monday, as the Estatuto de los Trabajadores requires; one falling on a Saturday is lost.

Now subtract your actual team

253 days is the calendar’s ceiling for one person in Spain. A real team spans countries, books leave, and works part-time — the calculator does that arithmetic for your headcount in seconds, no account.
